You know, Yuugare doesn't actually remind me of Platinum... I can't actually see them doing this song in that era. It's almost like somewhere in between the EDM and Platinum-esque songs... It's not quite like any other MM song yet. It's more like the perfect ending theme to a beautiful fantasy anime.

It's been half stuck in my head all day, but in a really non-obtrusive way. I didn't even realize it was Yuugare until I replayed it again a moment ago.

^ The feel of the song is Platinum-esque, the intro sounds very Aa Susukino to me, and the piano during the chorus is very platinum.

But, in terms of the sound, I believe you are right, it IS more of a mix of platinum and EDM and not just platinum. Though, it DOES shift more to platinum, i'd say 60% platinum 40% edm, just cause you dont have the "robo-ness" of the song being the "main" sound, but you can hear that the beat of the music is basically being EDM while everything else that makes the sound is platinum-ish.

Example: the verses are platinum (piano, and very light, soft sound), but then you suddenly break into heavy beats which persists throughout until the end of the chorus.

"nai, tabi, dachi, deshou" (bo-boom, bo-boom, bo-boom, bo-boom)
wakatteiru no "ni~~~" clap, clap, clap, clap (sounds like Tiki Bun) budu budu budu budu (prechorus)
the whole chorus has EDM-ish beats to it if you pay attention (maybe you focus too much on the piano )

for me that's EDM, but maybe others think it's just beats and not necessarily EDM, but for me, the beats give it EDM feel (which is why the verses start out so platinum-like, cause it's just piano).

Can I just say that I love that you typed out all of the sounds in order to help me try to locate the EDM in the song.

I'm gonna listen to it again and see if I get a different impression.

Edit: listened to it again. I think it's a bit stretching it to call that EDM. I'm not quite convinced.
