There no other reason to hide their faces if they were just showing all the finalists around... I understand they hide the faces because it's a preview, but also because they must be the winners.

nah, just like the MM 9th gen audition, the girls still wore their jumpsuits up to a similar point like next week's episode. there is no guarantee that they'll pass (Aina, Mogi were at this stage)

the little spaz girl, Fujii Rio, on being a little out of control.

The dance instructor told Fujii Rio not to dance so "big" and to think about dancing in a mini skirt, and the commentary pointed out that Rio didn't seem to listen to her. (she still did it anyway)

the instructor scolded Meimi, Yamaga, and Dayon and told them to get out, leave, you're a nuisance

Meimi was told by the instructor to leave because she hadn't improved from the day before at all.

So then Meimi said "Please let me do it" and then teacher kept telling her to just leave, and she apologized and got sent to the back of the classroom because the instructor didn't want someone who wasn't going to be serious and improve.

She also scolded Yamaga and Dayeon, although Dayeon obviously has the language problem.

Being strict? Yes. But saying things like she did? That's mean.

That's nothing compared to some of the things Sugai-sensei said to previous generations.

Remember, a big part of the training camp is seeing how the girls react to stress and criticism. It's supposed to be harsh.

I've seen those auditions too. But the way this one said it was different from Suga.
Suga was angry and said it. This woman was just "I dun neeeed yoooooou" almost as though she was teasing them.

The words or tone may be different, but the point is the same: idol wannabes are a fungible commodity, especially these days, and an agency doesn't have the time or resources to waste on girls who are not exceptional. The sooner a girl realizes that -- the sooner she realizes it is serious business and she's not her parents' special little girl anymore -- the better for everyone involved.
