[8/10] Berryz 27th Single "Aa, yo ga Akeru"

Yep. AKB subunit (DiVA), new Johnny's unit (Kis-My-Ft2), Choushinsei (KPop boyband who are releasing two singles for some reason) and the opening song for the anime IDOLM@STER! (which is based on a series of games that are super popular in Japan) are in front of Berryz. There was no way they were going to be able to beat any of those .

That explains the Oricon ranking. But I doubt a lot of Berryz fans skipped the single to buy any of those releases, except maybe for DiVA's.

At this point I don't know what they should do. Ai no Dangan had plenty of promotion and it kind of bombed, especially compared to the less promoted Momoiro Sparkling that managed to do a little better.

UFA doesn't like spending too much on promotion, and I'd imagine especially when it doesn't pay off. They never bothered to keep the promotion Morning Musume had with Nanchatte, and it did pay off, so yeah.

I like how they ripped off the instrumental and shoved it into Momusu's new single (the "first" a-side)

And yeah, the low ranks were kind of expected. The song is merely alright...

After repeated exposure, I'm starting to like Aa, yo ga Akeru more Still, I don't think it's a-side material, and I struggle to forget those costumes and PV exist.
