I just started watching Samurai Sentai Shinkenger and that along with Kikkawa You's Kanpai Sentai After Five (and the Ramengers and Berryz Kamen) got me thinking, who would we cast for the Samurai Sentai Idolgers?

The stereotypes that seem to be popular:

Red - capable but earnest and straitlaced
Blue - airhead and KY
Green - rebel and geek
Pink - tsundere
Yellow - moe

So, my casting so far is:
Red - Riho
Blue - Erina
Green - Iikubo Haruna
Pink - Tomoko
Yellow - Uta

Am I missing any better casting?

Imagined as a fairy tale retelling in stage musical form, with lots of help from Sohee. Little things were adjusted to try and make it fit more into the period, though I am by no means an expert (meaning stuff is bound to be wrong). This was just floating around in my head and it seemed like a lot of fun to do a fake casting with. Some of the roles are a bit predictable, both because I like the idea of them and to fit a little more closely into something easily recognized. Some girls were also specifically used to fit into ages and parts I had imagined in my mind (Ruru, for example; it came down to her for character age but also because that role would require the most solo singing). Male roles are left out because I wanted to be somewhat realistic with my pretendy-time, and never paid enough attention to male players in old H!P stage work.

"12 Dancing Daughters" of Edo ft. Hello! Project
- All of the sister's costumes would be color-coded in some way.
- Mother would appear as a princess-like, idealized version of herself for the younger sisters, and more realistic for the older girls. Always has her hair in the same style.

• Fukuda Kanon as Omasu (18) - The eldest sister. Firmly spoken, but mostly quiet. Plays shamisen.
• Fukumura Mizuki as Osachi (17) - Most outspoken of the sisters; writes poetry.
• Ishida Ayumi as Ohana (16) - Shy, has a sophisticated way about her; enjoys bunraku.
• Niinuma Kisora as Omiyo (15) - Twin 1. Never without her twin sister; a realist with no belief or interest in fantasy.
• Oda Sakura as Osayo (15) - Twin 2; Never without her twin sister; a romantic idealist.
• Ogawa Rena as Okame (14) - Thought of as the most beautiful of the sisters; strongly opposes marriage.
• Tamura Meimi as Oyae (13) - Somewhat masculine and rebellious; learns traditionally male subjects from her father.
• Sato Masaki as Okuma (12) - Ladylike in her mannerisms, charistmatic; enjoys flower arranging.
• Danbara Ruru as Ochika (12) - Gentle and reliable; a talented singer.
• Ozeki Mai as Otsuru (11) - Very confident in herself, spends a lot of time outdoors; likes flower viewing.
• Miyamoto Karin as Onatsu (11) - Friendly to all, very open; often spends time watches the men train/practice.
• Funaki Musubu as Orin (10) - Loyal to her family, especially her sisters; sensitive. (Always appears with one or more sister, never on her own.)
• Father - Old Samurai
• Takahashi Ai as Mother - (Deceased; Flashbacks only)
• Tadakatsu - Eldest son of an upper class family; a flashy Samurai with a mostly decent reputation.
• Merchant's son
• Farmer's son
• OG & Kenshuusei as Various Townsfolk

Brief Story (not nearly as finished as I wanted, but eh.)

♢ Over the course of a week the 12 sisters are locked into a room at night while they sleep, but discover used hairbrushes and worn out uchiwa-taiko of various colors beside their beds when they wake. Their father, the Old Samurai, lets it be known that he will allow marriage to any of his daughters if they can discover what is happening to them every night. Several men try and fail, including merchants and farmers, until finally Tadakatsu accepts the challenge and agrees to collect evidence to prove his findings.

♢ Tadakatsu, keeping watch, witnesses the sisters walking toward a forest dressed in kataginu. As he follows them into the woods they pass along a creek at the base of a mountain, surrounded in small stones. He collects three to present to the Old Samurai; one which appears moss-covered but holds an emerald, another found under red leaves that contains rubies, and finally the third which appears to be a plain stone from a distance, but is a pale, shining moonstone.

♢ At the end of their travel through the forest the sisters stop in a clearning almost completely surrounded by large trees, where they spend the night laughing, playing, and dancing the komachiodori under falling leaves and flowers (because pretty).

♢ Tadakatsu presents his proof to the Old Samurai, and later marries one of the sisters (would change per performance between Omasu, Osachi, Okuma, and Ochika; also slightly alters some dialogue in order to have the two interact more beforehand).

You know so many fans have settled on the same colors for the 12th Gen, that sometimes it's hard to remember there hasn't been an official announcement about that yet. I hope we get one BEFORE the single releases lol. And if they're all completely different... say Akane/White, Maria/LtBlue, Ogata/Purple, Nonaka/LtPink... I wonder how fans will react

for the record I'm in agreement with what most people have been putting down.
