I have a way I prefer doing things myself, but I'm also very much aware of that there is a typical/standard way of doing things. Be it the "ō" way or the "oo" or whatever, but personally I end up mixing things. Because sometimes "oo" doesn't look as good as "o" (Ookura vs Okura 大倉) not to mention things like 大奥 (oooku, lolwhat, often romanized just as Ooku).
When it comes to things like these, Berryz Kobo etc, I get it. It's that way because that's how it looks more stylish and easier for the English speaker (or other foreign languages, but let's be real, everyone use English as the standard) to pronounce it. Too many vowels are just confusing, no? It is even in hiragana (so thank god for kanji, seriously).

the english titles are nice. but if it does become a thing i can imagine myself gauging out my eyes after a few months.
at least its not "taiki bloomer" or "otome no counterattack".

Regular B is my favourite and probably the version I use for iTunes.
They do look like MM covers cos they're so basic lol

I wouldn't say Lt B or C are basic. That font work is genius, honestly. Especially considering how often the designs for H!P stuff have horrid typography (Wagamama Ki no Mama, I'm looking at you). Of course it's also so something I would design so I'm biased XD Lt C is my favourite though because it's the Taiki Bansei photos and I just feel really bad for Takechan in that Otome photoshoot. Her makeup and the editing on it are not in her favor at all...

^I went back and had a good look at the fonts used and I have to agree, they look really good.

Definitely not getting regular A. Regular B looks good though.

In for a penny, in for a pound, eh? But we don't even do that in English. We don't write, for example, "That movie was Romantic."

Basically, the way I see it: if there are two "u"s in the hiragana reading, it should be romanised with two "u"s. Long vowel sounds should be indicated, because that's the way they're written.

Yeah, yeah. But that's not the way they're written in standard roumaji. I don't have a problem with wapuro; I use it all the time. But when provided with the actual way a title is written, as on a CD cover, I think it makes sense to defer to that. Would it be okay for people to insist on spelling your name Hana just because it makes the most orthographic sense?

UF aren't really good at romanising things though, imo. Remember HADAKANO HADAKANO HADAKANO KISS? That's why I don't use official romanisations  .

And if we're being really nerdy and technical, the actual spelling of my name should be Channah, since it's form a Hebrew name ( חַנָּה, and I have no idea how to romanise it at all) :starra: . (Also, the way I say it, it does have the double-n sound, but I think Americans say it slightly differently, so it could be a dialect thing in this case I dunno.)

I still maintain that romanising it the same as how the hiragana is written makes the most sense and is -- to me -- the most accurate, so that's what I'm gonna continue to do. Sorry for going on and on about this, I know most people don't care, but this is one of the things that I like arguing about  .

Now I am really confused. My Kanji dictionary says that Taiki Bansei (with those exact kanji) means "Great talent blooms late". Are they being modest with the romanization?

It does mean that.
Guess they're trying to translate it casually. I'm not fond of it either.
