That's the impression that I've had, too. I think that once or twice, someone had a mildly critical comment about the way that one or another of them looked, but it was pretty much along the lines of, "Once they get their idol makeovers, they'll be gorgeous!"

Hmmm I looked back and I guess you're right, no one ever said that... but I strangely remember people saying things like that, or that they all look the same and not appealing in the least and that they're gonna be a bad generation.... I don't remember at what point, but they were definitely said. o.o
