[2/4] ANGERME (アンジュルム) 1st single : Taiki Bansei / Otome no Gyakushu

I've been thinking that, despite the name just being awkward in roman letters (My brain writes it as Anjurumu now so I have to police myself when typing lol), the name change itself has been really important for them and just as at fault for the probable success as 3rd Gen.

S/mileage was given a very specific image. Higher toned "squeaky" voices, super genki and cute, short skirts and S/mileage badges. They had this tiny little box and every time they didn't do something within it people got annoyed. This is not even factoring in the original group losing half its members and being forced to audition more.

Sure Taiki Bansei is high energy, but it's got a lower tone and is less cutesy high energy and more like a dance party. And there are pants being worn :O! Sure as S/mileage there were some shorts at times, but people would complain about that and never pants. We have complete leg coverage. ANGERME just has so much more freedom to be whatever they(and management of course) want to be.

EDIT: Also I forgot to mention that Ayaka seems truly well invested in everyone being treated like 1st Gen. She really seems to fit seemlessly in with 3rd Gen at least and some of 2nd Gen as well. I am a bit worried about Kanon though since watching that H!S with her and 2/3 of 3rd Gen. I really did get this aura of "I am your senpai, treat me like a senpai. Give me proper respect" Since they both were former KSS though, it might just be leftover from how they used to interact and maybe that's getting better.

i am loving the dance for Taiki Bansei. its just full of energy and it seems like everyone is enjoying it!!
plus the song is catchy as hell which is a major plus. ANGERME's debut will be one for the ages.

I love Mechaike so I’m so so happy that we got selected.

I love Mechayuru, too, and I always watch both shows.

I want to work harder so that I might be able to appear on Mechaike (T_T)!

I want to be on “Fukutoku-sama wa totsuzen ni”
or really anything at all!

I loved
the Quiz Fukutoku-kun and Shirotori-san that they did before (T_T)!

In any case I was so happy I didn’t swallow my food.

@forget-me-nots: You mentioned Kanon having a more senpai vibe. I don't really feel that. Especially after watching the comment they did for Oha!4. In it you can clearly see Kanon fooling around with Sasaki.

^Not that I don't want to be proven wrong, I really do since I'd much rather see comfortable interactions between the girls but I don't see Kanon fooling around with Rikako at. I see Kanon goofing off a bit and Rikako noticing once and almost giggling, but Kanon doesn't acknowledge her really at all.

You could be right though, it could just be really subtle.

I've been noticing Kanon's senpai vibe since 2nd gen joined. I don't like her though so I might be extrapolating.

Clearly Kanon and Ayaka are playing good cop/bad cop with the girls. Kanon is the strict one and Ayaka is the fun one.

That's how military units operate: the commander gives the orders and then the second-in-command / first officer / executive officer makes sure the orders are carried out.

For some reason I have it the other way around. lol I remember how Kanyon often invite the girls to her house, sometimes having a sleepover, going out every once in a while.
On the contrary I rarely hear as intimate story from Ayacho with the 2nd gen.

@ Mechaike: A couple of things that Kanon wrote in that entry have made me excited. 1 is that she said "selected", which means that instead of entirely being promo's fault, Mechaike selected it themselves and the second thing is that she said "2015/1~" which I'm assuming means that it's going to be the ending theme for a for a few shows at least if not longer.

Seriously congrats to ANGERME that is killer promotion. I don't think I've ever been this hyped up about a non-MM act before.
