It believe that it mostly has to do with my not really remembering how to do things on the board and having to rediscover how to make it work each time? XD
H!PS had a lot of threads, so it got its own sub-forum, I think. Anchoring that to the top of the page would had pushed the main forum down lower than it already is (due to the banner, controls, etc), which would have caused many members distress.
The Secret Santa business is just one thread, so instead of a sub-forum I just made it a Global Announcement.
Next year maybe we can set the active polls for H!PS to being global announcements, too? We'll see what permissions sb is able to be granted. :hehe:

I got my person. This will take some time to think. :p by when, preferably, should it arrive? Or does it not matter?

Hmm... where do other jploppers plan to buy things? I need ideas of places. XD

"By Christmas" is the ideal arrival time. If you think your timing will be off for whatever reason, please let Kai know so he can let your recipient know that they shouldn't wait with bated breath. XD

TU, Jessi & DSQueenie, you might want to elaborate on your likes/dislikes lists. :fear:

My plan is to do a mix of eBay and shopping locally. There are various Asian markets and sundries stores in my area, and even an Asian mall less than a mile from where I live, so I may or may not pick up something at one of them, depending on what I decide to buy.

Ok... Let's see... I don't think I could do much better than my list for the 2012 Secret Santa... XD
TotallyUncool wrote:I like interesting art/design/craft pieces or just interesting-looking things (traditional and completely non-traditional, dirt-cheap is good, and so are both silly-looking and serious) in any format from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and wherever.

Edit: Use your imagination, your creativity, and your instincts, and whatever the result is, I'm pretty sure I'll like it!

Dislikes: sharp pointy things with dangerous, infectious bacteria all over them, television sitcoms, battery-acid flavored ice-cream, lime jello with cottage cheese in it, almost anything that was very popular in the 70s, the full, 75-hour 5.1 surround recording of Suite for Fingernails and Blackboard, and pepperoni.

I'm allergic to codeine and angel shark, so I think I'm going to have to rule out filet of angel shark in opium sauce. :mikihead:
