I have high hopes for this as promotion actually. The fact that they are doing it as a TV show means that they are going to get a lot of exposure. I'm sure there will end up being a lot of people trying that may not even be fans, but just aspiring video directors. And competition is always popular to watch on TV the general public who may not give two shits about idols are more likely to watch just to see who wins (even if they start in mid-special).

Then there's the fact that we'll get something really different for a music video for the first time in a while. Possibly something that is more mainstream and interesting, while still pandering to H!P-ness. I'm crossing my fingers that this goes well.

Yeah there is a lot of potential here! I'm quite excited. I really hope Tsunku picks a good song for the next single... no Pyoko Pyoko Ultra type massive change in musical style just because 12th gen is here and Sayu is gone....... And something a little more 14 Sho the message and less Tikibun......... Wagamama levels of awesome.
