Never liked this one. I'm not a fan of spooky/horror things, tbh.

Then you really shouldn't watch Aeon Flux.

^ You're probably right but imo it's more weird/creepy than horror/spooky. And Starra does weird/creepy. I mean, all she used to talk about were Kodomo no Jikan and Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei. :-/

But Aeon Flux and Courage the Cowardly Dog were the same kind of weird/creepy/horror/spooky. Lots of body horror and unresolved surrealism. The only real difference, in my opinion, was that one did it for laughs while the other did it for teh cool. So if Starra didn't like Courage the Cowardly Dog, I can foresee her having similar problems with Aeon Flux.

Hey, even I was creeped out by Aeon Flux, and I was squarely in its target demographic back then.

Like I said, you're probably right! :) For me personally, CCD's ick factor outweighed whatever other redeeming qualities it might've had, so I kind agree with Starra that it wasn't watchable. But with Aeon Flux, the artistic vision is of such a distinctive quality, something along the lines of xxxHOLIC, that the creepy parts just add to the overall aesthetic. Starra, did you ever seen an ep. of Ren & Stimpy, and if so how did you feel about that? It was certainly icky, maybe the ickiest of all, but Kricfalusi's vision was genius, and it was compelling to watch just for that reason. So many shows today owe their aesthetic in part to Ren & Stimpy, even say Spongebob Squarepants.

I watched a ton of "Totally Spies" too. There was a movie a few years ago that I never was able to watch, at least not back then. I also remember being really disappointed by the spin-off, "The Amazing Spiez!".

Hey, I didn't actually like Kodomo no Jikan  . It was one of those things where I just couldn't look away. SZS is more satire... Very dark satire, though. Sure, it's fucked up, but it's not scary. Just... not normal.

An excuse to link this again (NSFW):

Yeah, R&S was too much for me -- never really liked it. Then again, I was probably a bit too young and didn't get it.

All I know about Animaniacs is that fingerprints joke, lol.

Also, I should probably mention that my favourite genre is comedy. I enjoy a good laugh more than anything. Darker things are okay from time to time, but eh, they're not really for me.

Ren & Stimpy traumatized me as a child. As did Rocko's Modern Life

I just remembered another good show as well: The Wild Thornberrys

^ If we toss "Rocket Power" in (though it's only so-so in my opinion) we can bring the Klasky Csupo produced Nickelodeon shows full circle. They'll all have been mentioned now.
"Rugrats"
"Aaahh!!! Real Monsters"
"The Wild Thornberrys"
"Rocket Power"

Watching them with fresh but also older eyes I couldn't believe my mother let me watch it. They're both wildly inappropriate lol.
