That's basically what I understood.
It's not clear to me where the confusion is arising. Is it clearer with a more direct approach?

I see it as she felt she was getting a lot of training in Kenshuusei and now that she's in Morning Musume there is a higher expectation. Its probably will feel less like being trained and more like having to practice hard and keep up.

It could be bad wording from the translation, too. The "since" could easily be replaces with something like "especially" or something similar and still not change much in Japanese.

I think what she means is that their is no longer a need to step up and stand out from the other KSS in terms of abilities now that she has debuted. I'm pretty sure that she'll work harder than ever, she'll have to.

No, not really. The translation was awkward but essentially correct. It's just that instead of "There's a need", you read "There's no need".
