I just want more one-shot groups... I hope they're a thing again once Tsunku's recovered.

It was cute the first time they did it but not enough for it to be continued imo.
But yes more shuffle units is always great.

The Girls Live:

Suzuki Kanon is called on to produce S/Mileage. Wanting to not offend her friends in S/Mileage with her lack of fashion sense Kanon calls on Takahashi Ai to be her assistant. Comedy ensues as Ai's eyebrows fall out at all of the weird choices Kanon makes. Ai eventually helps Kanon sort things out and the production is a success.

One wouldn't even have to script Kanon in making deliberately bad choices.

Yossie and Miki lead teams in a physical competition of mostly comical challenges where the point is to make fun of the participants.

Team Scuba would be Yossie, Makoto, Erina and Haruna
Team Yoga would be Miki, Koharu, Ai, and Eri.

It turns out that The Girls Live had a hidden intent: the management had found a bunch of girls who were cute an fashionable and they wanted to debut them as a unit that didn't sing much but would concentrate on acting. So, they decided to introduce them on The Girls Live by having them pretend to be fashion consultants for various stores even though none of them worked for those stores. Later the group debuts as Morning Osusume.
