Berryz Koubou have gone on indefinite hiatus as of 3/3

Wow. I'm in shock, but I think everyone here has been saying some good things.

For one I agree that this has been brought about by the 10th anniversary and I think all of the push they've been getting was a sign that they were getting closer to disbandment.

C-ute is selling super well so It would almost be a bad idea for them to disband as well. I think they will also make it to their 10th anniversary... and probably 10th anniversary of their major debut and not of when they were formed... so maybe 2017? Sales might be slow by then. Can't know for sure. But I'm all for that since it gives us 3 more years (If its based on when they formed... then they will prepare to disband next year )

I agree that they will probably officially graduate when C-ute is ready for graduation in a H!P kids graduation.

I'm assuming Berryz will remain in H!P until then. And after an official graduation they would leave H!P.

I can see a new group being formed out of kenshuusei by the winter concert in 2015. I agree that not all of them are ready, but there are so many that are and I can't wait to see them debut.

Another group would probably be added after C-ute leaves in a few years.

I have so many feelings. I am not happy the group is going on "hiatus" but at the same time I knew that it would happen soon because they are getting older.

Also I REALLY hope that Berryz comes to NYC in the spring tour. <3

I'm glad that they're going out in on a pretty high note, with decent sales and good energy. Clearly for some of the girls, the routine was getting to be a bit much.

Regarding the whole hiatus issue, it seems to me that H!P likes to do that to maintain flexibility over how it packages the group and its associated intellectual property. Like for example if Momoko, Sacko, and Yabyab are staying on as soloists but do an occasional appearance as Berryz.

Well, it just had to happen at some point. It's very sad to see them go, but they had one heck of a run. Also as much as I love everyone in the group, if this means Momo being a soloist, I'm all for it.

I can't even say I'm sad about this. It just feels like the time has come, and I'm looking forward to seeing them doing activities they enjoy. I'm really excited to see where Chinami, Captain, Maasa, Risako and Yurina will end up. I know Momochi will always be around, and probably Miyabi as well.

I feel the same. I'm new, I didn't even had the time to like Berryz as much as the other groups and they're already stopping everything So...

Interestingly, I actually am a bit excited for their next moves

Jesus. I come on after not being here a day, and i get a skype from my friend "I feel horrible about the announcement ;-; I just wanna cry", and my thoughts went to either "BERRYZ KOBO DISBANDMENT" or "DAISHI GRADUATION".
Personally, I'd have much preferred the latter.

This is one of the... saddest moments ever. Of course, it has yet to hit, but when it does, I sure I'll be crying like a baby. Berryz. The group which brought me to H!P. My favorite group. Holding 5 of my top 10 songs. THE group. ending. ;-;

Many of you guys don't like the "indefinite hiatus", but I think it lets berryz's name ring on. Instead of just, ending, it's just... not happening anymore.

...Plans Berryz MUST do before next spring...
1. CONCERT IN NY, GOD DAMN IT.
2. Concert with Maiha
3. Concert in NY.
4. Concert in NY.
5. They better release 5 singles by then. THEY MUST REACH 40. 40. PLEEEEAASSEEEEEEE

I only joined H!P 3 years ago. And this being the 3rd thing to leave, I just can't. ;-; It's so sad.

This may sound evil-hearted, but I hope that C-ute disbands relatively close to after Berryz. Mainly because there is going to be this... aura after Berryz... "leaves"... which will be hard to come by.

Tsunku needs to make a H!P Kids II or something like that. I get that the Kenshuusei should have units, but... it's just not the same.
