With a weak single like this(one song so out of their own style and another is a reuse), I'm satisfied with the sales.
If the main A side is 2/3 as decent as berryz's latest single, it'll definitely help the sales. The power is c-ute's diet song and I like the diet song better.

^Wow, that's the first time in a LONG time that I've heard "if ____'s A side were better than Berryz's..." because everyone usually complains how terrible Berryz's stuff are.

But, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. o.o

Well you've been a fan long enough to know fans' feedback after each group's releases. It's not a secret that berryz's last single(mostly the main A side) is really really great. Even both japanese fans on 2ch and foreign fans on youtube agree with it.
Whereas for c-ute's new song, the feedback is really mixed or even negative. Nothing to be surprised here. Music doesn't lie.

Edit: I do think lately the music Tusnku delivered to Juice=Juice and S/milegae is somewhate better or more exciting than the songs he gave to C-ute. But C-ute's staffs is doing a better job to get the MV done(probably slightly higher budget because C-ute sold more goods and concert tickets).

Since Be Genki I have not heard Berryz > C-ute.

Well Tusnku is only one man. Now one sick man. He has limits. He's been doing this for a long time already. Favor some groups over others at times then shift his power. The lack of consistant effort actually hurt most H!p groups not named MM. But it's been like this for years and it's not going to change.

And he doesn't arrange EVERY song, he comes up with the ideas and then other people help him create it- right?

He writes EVERY song but other people will arrange the instruments. That's why all H!p song have the Tusnku identity. It has pros and cons. Tusnku is a genius and he writes a lot of great songs. But it also limits H!p groups pontential. Remeber a lot of people got into H!p because of buono and people love buono!'s songs? Well many of their songs are not written by Tusnku and it definitely added more spice into Buono!'s profile.

Tsunku usually writes the lyrics and composition, but most of the time gets someone else to arrange it. He has arranged some H!P songs himself, though!

Remeber a lot of people got into H!p because of buono and people love buono!'s songs? Well many of their songs are not written by Tusnku and it definitely added more spice into Buono!'s profile.

IIRC, the first Buono! song Tsunku did was co・no・mi・chi.

I liked Berryz' songs more than C-ute's songs for the longest time in the groups' history though.

Actually, it's not that Berryz have been getting worse songs, at least for me. I've always like the songs. It's the styling and PV that were bad.
