yeah the lyrics are pretty smart western references and interesting, plus the bass is good.

but that might be because im a sucker for edm and vocal synths. i love meg, perfume and work by yasutaka nakata.

@zunu i dont consider this jpop, and i hope people don't recognise it as jpop since it seems like its own unique style.

^ It is Jpop though. "Jpop" usually covers all Japanese released music, though sometimes barring classic/folk genres like enka - not just 'pop'.

I'm with Zunu on this one. They give me a really weird, unwanted Nicki Minaj x Miley Cyrus vibes. I don't even like those two on their own.

yeahhhhhhhh but its not really...idk...its not something, but it is something i'd associate as conventional jpop.

I think right now in terms of Jpop its out there, although its not that new in the international scene.
Jpop right now is usually associated with AKB48 and their typical love songs and whatnot, versus this idea of dependence on guys in this group.

i actually dont know what to think of this group since there's like little to no information about them...even their website is about a game where you earn points by promoting them on social media. makes no mention of who or what their agency is (i think) and how they were formed.

the mv should be good, seems like a decent Zedd MV with some good editing and CGI from what I've seen from the short BTS footage that aired today.

I love the idea behind all the collaborations on her new album. I wish Don't be gone too Long was released though.

Nightwish & Within Temptation: I was really into them when I was in High School, but what's amusing is that my Dad randomly got into them for a short time post-Tarja, so I got to here the carnival themed CD quite a bit and ended up liking that Within Temptation is one my go to for songs I want to sing and want to sound good lol. Sharon's voice is a workout to follow, but it's one that jives well with my own. Japan actually has a few of their songs in Karaoke (which was both awesome and surprising to see) 'Angel' is one I sing often.

BabyMetal: I swear this group fulfills so many needs I didn't know I had LOL I love, love, love metal music and I love idols. I really need to go see them and I'm almost positive I could get people to come with me. I would have definitely loved to see them in a small live hall, though. Powerful music + Small venue has always been a great combi for me
