She sounded worn out by the time she got to Problem. At least Iggy wasn't there for that performance, that made it a little more tolerable. :lol:

It always sounds like Ariana Grande is doing karaoke/singing other people's songs to me. I don't think I've ever heard her in something that felt like it was her own.

I think just because of the comparison to Mariah, there's nothing kinda unique? But in her own way, her vocal ability allows her to own songs and sing it the way she wants.

She always sounds fine, but (even in that video) it never feels like hers to me. It always feels like she's imitating someone or borrowed a song.

I'm sure she'll develop more and I'll hear her on the radio one day and enjoy it. Right now I guess I agree with the Mariah comparisons, and I was never a fan of Mariah or her singing style.

That comparison is so off. Mariah sang so well people thought there was technology, witchery, and blood sacrifices involved. Ariana can sing but she's nowhere near Mariah. The only really real thing is Ariana can get her voice waaaay up there like Mariah.

But (without really knowing anything about her) the overall impression I have of her is as if she were raised in some pop music training camp, every aspect of her honed, sanded and polished by some marketing guru. Like an American version of a Kbot. If blondes are "in" in 2015 then she'll be blonde, I'd imagine.
