Those performances are really top notch. I hope 12th gen can keep up with the girls because right now the group is just amazing. Watching that Music Japan performance really just reminded me of why I love them <3 Is any other group even close???

Oricon already released an article confirming this to be their first 5 singles consecutive weekly 1st!

Sayu commented on it as well, saying she's very happy to be able to extend their streak and thank all their fans. She also mentioned the new member audition and reflecting on how she and the current members have inherited and continued the 17 yeas history of Morning Musume, she'd like to keep the group evolving and move forward together with the new members too.

119k sold. their 56th consecutive top 10 single, updating their own record. This is their 3rd consecutive 100k seller in the first week. it has become very stable.

Fuji TV Mezamashi 4-22-14

Mezamashi got comments from Sayumi, Eripon, Kanon, and Ayumi who were taping for Fuji TV's Gokigenyou yesterday. most of the other members had the day off yesterday. Sayu reverts to her old self and has some poison tongue advice for Eripon.

She mentioned it a couple of times before but I do believe this is the first time Sayu ever acknowledged Ikuta as being very similar to herself from 5 years ago on camera, on national tv no less. If that's not a glowing endorsement for her future in variety then I don't know what that is, I hope there are some tv show producers taking note

Oh, and if she could give an advice to herself from 5 years ago (and by extension Ikuta) she said,
"Your bad personality is showing on your face!" :lol:
