Or they can randomly show off a concert rip which makes everyone hate it with their guts, and then make them love the mv because "they sound better in the studio version"

I remember the days from before the YouTube channel or Dohhhh UP...

We would already have the AM radio recording or the crappy concert rip. But no PV until after the release date of the single because it wasn't shown on one of the music video channels yet. I don't know if at some point we even had to wait until the Single V. MM PVs would be played on TV, but Berryz Kobo were often only shown on the chart shows the week after the release.
And even after the PV was shown we still had to wait until somebody uploaded the video on the H!O tracker.

Those were the songs were it was just a bonus to even get a PV. That didn't happen with the main singles from the main groups.

I may be off on my thoughts, but isn't music japan that show that is really hard to get onto, in that MM hasn't gotten onto it in years, and it's really famous?
...Or am i wrong about that...

MM are always on Music Japan.
You might be thinking of Music Station? Though MM finally got invited last year again.
