Does Rikako really look that much like Maeda? There is some resemblance but I don't see the clone you're talking about. Anyway, I doubt much it will be a key factor.

Hmmm and this time I'm guessing 3 or will be a good number. Given the past failed audition, if they accepted only 1 or even 2 girls now it would be very poor, it wouldn't give the looks. So they probably would like to explore the facts of the last audition plus this new one and hit a boom with the addition of "many" new members - 3 is a good number and 5 even better. It would be defeinitely something refreshing with tons of possibilities in terms of the popularity to raise. And that's probably why they announced the audition right now and with those conditions.

Rikako reminds me more of Yuko. The lower half of her face is similar (jawline, smile, dimples). And she resembles her in other ways (awesome facial expressions, great dancing, raspy voice). I hope she's funny like Yuko, too. I don't think it'll be issue in the long run, either. I just really want somebody in H!P who is like Yuko, lol.

I'm trying not think think about the audition much LOL I just really, really hope SOMEONE gets added. I got really excited and into the build up last year and well...

Auditions make me think of how it's starting to boggle my mind how long the 9kis have been in MM now...

Not to people who don't follow AKB. I thought that was obvious.

For example, I know the name "Atsuko Maeda" and I know she is or was a prominent member of AKB48, but I'd never be able to pick her out of a line-up. And she's supposedly one of the most famous celebrities in Japan right now.

But I don't follow all of Japanese pop culture. I don't have the bandwidth for that. I only follow H!P and a few other things, and I gradually pick up the rest -- like various comedians and variety show hosts -- through their connections to the few things I follow.

I suspect the same is true for many H!P fans.
