it is starting now.

staff are setting up cameras in the room for the interviews, not alot of talking between the crew. 9 minutes in, the auditioners walk in. i count about 22 in the room as they walked in. all say good morning. Tsunku enters. i see tall and really short girls, and alot of average heights. Tsunku makes them introduce themselves one by one. He makes all of them do a special talent they can do, like a pose or a dance or a monomane. Uchouten love plays while they do it. one by one through the long line. trying to get to know them, breaking the ice. can you imagine a girl tall as yurina or chinami in Smileage? theres one that stands tall from the rest. theres a girl who does cheerleading. alot of them have athletic backgrounds like ballet, or volleyball or track and field. were at the last girl to introduce herself.

all of them look their age, nobody looks like an old grandma

ok Tsunku is done with intros. he moves back to the tables. he says you can remove your heels or shoes. he tells them to spread out. they are all dancing to Yume Miru 15. they all know the choreography already they all leave out the door. thats it? Tsunku still in the room.

he calls in the next group of 20 or so girls in.

Tsunku takes a good look at them, and tells them to introduce themselves and their talent. looks like in this group so far aren't great. #1443 knows how to speak english. the next girl sounds like she doesn't bother putting effort into her intro. a girl all the way from Hokkaido. these girls talents aren't that great. one girl can talk like that announcer at concerts. one girl does a shoulder massage for Tsunku. we reach the girl at the end of the line. she can play drums and has good feet rhythm.

they spread out and take shoes off. Tsunku scouts through the audition papers. they're dancing to Yume Miru 15 again. thats it for this group.

break time. they looped Uchouten Love a whole bunch already throughout the broadcast. about an hour into it now.

and the crew is back. no Tsunku, just managers.

looks like they are ready, only 4 girls enter the room this time. they all have microphones. the first girl starts singing sukichan. the girls pick a smileage song they want to sing. next is a forehead check. Ah, Ee vowel check. Yume Miru dance again. they leave. about 1 hour 25 minutes in

the next 4 girls enter and pick up their mics. introduce themselves again. the tall girl from earlier is here. forehead check. voice check. first girl sings koi no booing buu. these 4 look very pretty. tall girl #1482 sings ama no jaku. 1118 sings ama no jaku better. she looks like a squirrel when she smiles though. yume miru dance.

next 4 girls enter. 3 of them eggs size short. none of them are that attractive. one girl looks mixed and doesnt look japanese at all. #13 sings smileage's ganbarenakutemo with energy. i think she fits smileage. #22 has no energy and just stands there singing looking around. mixed girl #1139 also sings just standing there. dance time. first girl has energy but shes trying to hard.

the staff are interested in #13, the girl with the purple shirt. they ask her a bunch of questions about herself, she responded perfectly on the spot.

1 hour 48 minutes in.

next 4 girls enter. they are all smileage size, one egg size. mics arent working. same process checks and stuff. small girl #849 sings horribly.
#1079 has a great voice. 213 dresses really pretty, but lack emotion in her singing. #801 fits smileage nicely. shes really pretty. has a nice white frilly skirt outfit. cute bow. next is dance. #801 dances with her heels.

1079, 213 and 801 are awesome for smileage. as well as #13 in my opinion.

next 4 enter. intros, deco check, voice check. #1063 sings sukichan. she starts early. #730 is tanned skinned like dawa. she has a great voice. #809 sings nicely, she messed up. imo, none of these girls stand out. next is dance.

we are 2 hours in now.

next 4 hurry in. intros.

#872 sings yume miru very quietly. 1370 sings shortcut. she has good rhythm. very shaky singing. #43 is ok. 718 knows what shes doing. great smile. imo, none of them fit smileage's image. they don't have that smileage aura.

#3001 is mogi, #3002 is Karin Miyamoto, Mogi sing yume miru. she forgets lyrics but she sings nicely. Karin sings shortcut. she aces it. 1027 is boring. #751 looks like a chubbier Linlin, not that great. next is dance. Mogi and Karin grabs the camera more than the boring two. they did well.

2 hours 21 minutes in.

#3003 is an egg Katsuta Rina, 3004 is MM finalist Otsuka Aina. Rina sings shortcut. she aces it. 864 and 1196 dont stand out much and dont fit smileage's image. dance is next.

next group, 2 hours 30 minutes. Uchouten Love still looping.

Takuechi, Kaneko Rie are up. Takeuchi sing suki chan, aces it. Rie sings Asu deeto. they both outdance the other two really. Takeuchi fits nicely.

#3007 is egg Takagi, 3008 is egg Wakana. shes wearing a pink frilly skirt. auditioner #2 is still around. Takagi sings Bijin Mama. Wakana sings sukichan. shes got rhythm. the other dont stand out. #2 is terrible. dance. #2 is just going through the motions.

#1142 can do sign language? #857 sings koi ni booing buu. 1142 sings sukichan. she sings great. 1460 tanned girl sings yume miru. she messes slightly and asks to do it again. they let her. she does better but forgets a line at the end. 1363 looks like chinami, she forgets lyrics to yume miru. dancing.

just about 3 hours in. break time.

they put a quick video survey up for feedback. was it fun or not? 56% says fun.

there was a girl in the group with Takechan and Rie that looked a lot like Sekkii.. i suppose it couldn't have been, Sekkii is probably too old and is no longer an egg.

i liked 1142 a lot from the last round, her voice was cute and she danced with a lot of energy (which i noticed a lot of the non-eggs weren't doing)!

Also quite liked a few others that I want Tsunk to put in the eggs.
