A report from Tsunku♂ to everyone
For giving me even more support than the past, I truly thank you very much.
The days of intense variation in temperature are continuing, but you can feel it nowadays
That we’re slowly getting closer to spring, so how is everyone doing?
Well then, without delay, I have an report for everyone.
From about 7~8 years ago, I experienced some discomfort in my left vocal cord, and couldn’t bring out things like falsettos in that condition, yet I still continued working every day in a state where I was fumbling around.
However, from around October of last year my voice went completely husky, and it continued to be difficult for me to bring out my voice, so I underwent surgery under general anaesthesia in February of this year, and when my cells were inspected, cancer was discovered in my larynx and vocal cords.
The cancer was in its early stages, and now I’m heading straight for medical treatment.
Honestly, the truth is I myself was surprised, “No way it could be me,” since one would say, “Sickness and health start from the mind.” I think this is also some sort of a hint from my life, and I’m determined to move forward positively.
Since I’ll be undergoing intensive medical treatment for a while, everyone who I’m currently working with, all of the fans who have always been giving their support, and all of the many various related parties, I apologise for causing you immense worry and for inconveniencing you.
At the same time as giving you my heartfelt apologies, I would like to ask for your understanding, please understand.
Also, in regards to what will come after my medical treatment, or when my voice will be usable, there are a considerable amount of unknown factors, in regards to the outlook of returning to jobs that utilise my voice, I think I’ll report to everyone as and when I can.
Though, my mind, and other parts of me are in good shape,
Looking at the results of my blood test, a doctor remarked to me on the lines of, “Looking at just the numbers, you’d never think that it’s from someone dealing with illness.”
Anyway, I can go on with desk work if I get through this intense medical treatment, and since I plan to continue doing the things I’ve been doing, and I hope all of you continue giving your support, I humbly beg for your kindness!
And, after the medical treatment, look forward to the day when I can deliver a song to everyone once again.
