I'm surprised to hear that so many people preferred the last single. I feel like this is not only a much catchier, cohesive single, but completely in Berryz element, where the last single was two extremes of "could this be the future of Berryz?".

Agree. Diet is head and shoulders above everything since cha cha SING, I think. And IMO that's because:

Sort of Berryz acting like kind of like C-ute.

It's just... why do both groups need to get songs so similar in style? Heck, a couple of S/mileage songs lately belong in the same category.

I just hate how they all have to be similar.
Otona is clearly trying to sound like Tokai.
Diet, thankfully, is quite fresh and brings back the old berryz-feel, i think...
I definitely like this as my favorite since i've joined the fandom back with Be Genki...

Which smileage songs fall under that category???

I was thinking about Ii Yatsu and Atarashii Watashi being C-ute-ish in sound, not that they sounded like Otona-Tokai which indeed feel related

Don't hear the "like Cute" thing at all.
"Mature" thing? Definitely.
However, Motto Zutto is, if anything, like Platinum era MM in my opinion. Which is hardly a bad thing. <3 Still loving that song.

Un-S/mileage-ish, then? In any case, they were coupled with very-S/mileage songs, so it's okay. I just don't want everyone doing the same thing.

I don't hear any C-ute in these songs. At all.

Juice=Juice is a new group, so of course theyy are going to get more promotion and better songs. They need to start off with a good start, which was pretty bad for some H!P groups back then. UF* was basically confused and wasn't really good in promotion, besides TV shows.

So it really doesn't matter whether the new group sells better than the old one. They both work hard and are very dedicated to their smjobs. But what can tey do? It is not like they can approach the UF* manager like "Hey! Can we get some posters too?".

...why not? Berryz have 10 years of debut, and while they obviously can't demand anything, why wouldn't they be able to question about it?
Or ask what they can do to get them. Or ask for advice to get "more popular" and reach the same level of C-ute as they're supposedly at the same level. Despite C-ute debuting later and getting the popularity faster.

Then again, we don't know if they HAVE said anything like this already. It's probable that they have. But, unfortunately, the girls give me quite a passive impression so I don't think they have. Except maybe Momoko.

I honestly think that if the girls approached UF*, they would probably get laughed at in response. I don't know.... The only girl on the Berryz team who seems passive is really Captain. Miya and Momo are more likely to stand up to UF*.

I just hope we have a good second week. 30k isn't bad, but if the week ends in 4k-6k being sold, they'll be alright for the third and fourth week. I hope there is a mysterious rise in sales like the last single.

They really need more promotion.
