"What a bunch of a-holes."

A comment seen elsewhere: "Closest thing to a Farscape movie we will ever get."

For anyone who doesn't closely follow the Marvel Cinematic Universe: this is one of the so-called "Phase Two" movies (along with the latest Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America) that leads into the next Avengers. So yes, there will be crossovers and references.

And this is the reason Karen Gillan (of Doctor Who) shaved off all her hair.

I like how DC tries to make their movies as realistic as possible but Marvel has a tree and talking raccoon hanging about.

Speaking of Marvel I'm already over the new x-men movie.

I don't know what I was expecting. Those really are crappy.

I'm excited by the mere mention of either one of these happening, though I'd be more inclined to see a movie instead of a musical.
That was one of my favorite shows. Pissed me off when someone from ABC said it only had 5 dedicated viewers.

It's important to remember that the X-Men, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four were all licensed to other studios years ago (before Disney bought Marvel), and those studios will gladly twist and abuse those properties to make a buck because they don't care about them. Only the Avengers are being done faithfully, because only the Avengers still belong to Marvel proper.

As someone who grew up with the X-Men before they were popular even among comic book readers, I've written off any movies released after X2. The first one got a pass for the sheer novelty of it, and the second one was fairly good, but after that things get fuzzy.

I feel similarly about the first two X-Men movies but I like the third one as well, mainly because we finally get to see Storm do something. I still haven't watched First Class even though I've had it for about a year.

But yeah I'm not nearly as excited for Days of Future Past as I should be. I called them giving Wolverine the lead instead of Kitty the second the movie was confirmed and now all these really horrible press pictures. I feel like Fox always does the least amount of work possible when promoting X-Men movies though.

i think Days of Future Past is going to be decent, especially if i don't compare it to how much better it could potentially be if they had held on to the property a bit longer and launched it as a Marvel property lol. if i can get over how much Rogue was ruined as a character, i can get over anything and enjoy it despite its differences to the material.

though maybe i'm not over the Rogue thing, so much as i try not to think about it...

I really hated that they turned her into this Kitty Pryde/Jubilee character. She should've started off as a villain tbh.
