Lol, you really tickle me with your meticulously expressed yet vaguely unnecessary explanations. :P

Unless I'm mistaken?
In Japan
Wednesday - Preorders
Thursday - Wednesday sales
Friday - Thursday sales
Saturday - Friday sales
Sunday - Saturday sales
Monday - Sunday sales <-?

Pretty sure someone told me this at one point. lol

Japan is ahead of we Americans, timezone-wise. SO, when Oricon updates their charts ~6am EST in America, it's really night time Wednesday in Japan.

The charts released each night reflect the previous day's sales, so they follow suit as Sohee posted.

Weekly charts run from Monday to Sunday sales, and are posted Tuesday night JST (along with data for the first day of the new chart week). So really, you have pre-orders + 6 days of sales going into the first week of a single. All we have left for this first week is today's (Sunday's) sales (which will be released tomorrow morning for we Americans).

Oricon publishes the chart between 18:00 and 19:00 JST on it's website. Usually it's already available about 1 hour earlier for their paid subscribers, that's why 2ch usually knows it before oricon.co.jp is updated.

The new releases (almost) always have an official release date on Wednesday, but the CDs are always on sale in the shop a day earlier on Tuesday. The weekly chart which is always published on Tuesday are the sales from Monday to Sunday, the daily chart on Monday are the sales from Sunday. The daily chart on Tuesday the sales on Monday.

The 1st day chart that Oricon publishes on Wednesday are the following sales:
- the Tuesday sales in the shops, including paid reservations/pre-orders.
- shipped preorders from internet shops.
- pre-release event sales.

Since Oricon depends on the retailers to send in the sales data it's not always the case that event sales are counted on the next day chart. If the sales are done via the standard cash register in one of the big chain shop they are automatically counted. But if the sales are done via a special sales counter at the event they will have to be added manually, that's why there's sometimes a delay.

Those rankings were pretty spot on for the most part. Sayash definitely deserved to win that one. What she said is pretty effective IRL. Whereas Shige's confession comes off like some stalker shizz. And I'm sure a lot of guys would love to warm up Fukuhime's hands. OdaMasaki-chan's was hella cute, she's just got too much of an imouto vibe and there's nothing she could say that would change that.
