It's funny how we're blaming the 2nd tier girls when actually it's Momoko who's been messing up lately. Listen carefully. For some reason lately she's been horribly flat. Maybe with all these TV appearances, she's not keeping up with her vocal training. But if she doesn't bring her A-game, it drastically brings down the quality of the whole group.

^I've noticed that. At first I thought maybe they were isolated incidents but she's been off pretty consistently recently. It's really noticeable in the recent Buono! performance of Renai Rider. I'd never heard her sound that way before.

Wat. Is that a thing that is happening? I haven't paid a lot of attention lately. What's up with Momo? She's usually the best Berryz singer IMO.

I think Miya and Momo are the best singers in the group, but they do have their off days.

I'm a Berryz fan, don't get me wrong (Risako is queen), but I feel like now that everyone's sort of grown into maturity, the group also seems very visually awkward. You just have massive Maasa hanging around, but then you have Chinami who is a twig, super tall Yulina, Momoko who looks like a child and then the conventional idols in Risako, Miya and Saki. Although Risako's hairstyles are questionable and non-cohesive outfits don't help either.

That 1 Oku performance was just all over the place and Otona na no yo has such unnecessarily long verses that drag on for no benefit. With that said, 1 Oku is still my freakin jam.

They do look kind of mismatched a lot of the time. I had thought that was just because I've seen so many pictures of them wearing such different styles lately, but I can see where the outfits just emphasize differences that are already there. Since I don't follow the group that much, I find myself asking what may be a dumb question: What is H!P's overall concept of/plan for the group (as far as anyone knows, of course), or does their management seem to have much of an idea beyond "let's dress them all differently to emphasize how different they look"?
