Well that's my point. It's entirely in the realm of possibility that BC is that one person for EVERY SONG! :grinning:

What does it even mean to dislike a song? Like, does it honestly bother you to hear it? There are lots of songs I don't really listen to because, apart from the fact that there are too many damn songs out there, I'm just neutral towards them. But I'm not necessarily bothered by them, unless maybe if a specific song has been repeated too many times in a short period of time. If I'm playing a shuffled playlist and these songs come up, I won't necessarily need to skip through them.

I guess among the songs that I don't exactly "like", most of the songs would fall under the "neutral" and "don't really care much for but wouldn't mind listening to" categories, but given that it's an artist I listen to, plainly disliking a song is not common. There are definitely some, like I just tried to listen to Ongaku Gatas' "Narihajimeta Koi no BELL" again and it's still gross to me.

There are people who dislike songs because of the lyrical content, e.g. "Blurred Lines" being disturbing to some people.
Or someone might not like a singer's voice, e.g. some people just hate Rihanna's "sound." GO AWAY ADAM LEVINE.
Some people hate autotune, some people don't like certain styles of music, e.g country music, dancehall, dubstep, death metal, ambient drone, etc.
Some people don't like certain songs because they dredge up unpleasant memories.
Some people don't like remakes that don't do justice to the originals.
Sometimes a particular song just rubs you the wrong way and honestly bothers you to hear it.

For me, to dislike a song means that I always skip it when it comes up on iTunes or wherever. Some songs I dislike because they're boring as all fuck (not all ballads -- I do enjoy good ballads a lot) or because they're really annoying for whatever reason.

There are also the songs I'm really sick of hearing, like Egao ni Namida〜THANK YOU! DEAR MY FRIENDS〜.

Then again, the music I want to listen to largely depends on my mood. Some days I want to listen to cutesy idol music, and other times I want to listen to other stuff. I have a lot of music, so usually I can find something I want to listen to.

I basically agree with what you wrote there but...Egao ni Namida? I've never thought of that song as overexposed. Maybe I've listened to it 10 times in total. Almost certainly fewer than that. Was it stuck in your playlist for a long time? As far as "minor" songs go, I like it a lot. It has a kind of breezy MPB feel to it.

They've performed it at concerts a lot... or at least they used to  . Quite a few girls have covered it too. I mean, it's not awful, but I'd just rather not listen to it.

Although, at least it doesn't put me to sleep like, say, Furusato.

As long as it's not a song just bragging about sex&drugs,I'll like it.

This is what happens when I just wander into a conversation -- now I'm trying to figure out which H!P songs are just bragging about sex and drugs...

So far, I've got:
Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance You mean you didn't know? I thought that EVERYBODY knew about that one!
Dekkai Uchuu ni Ai ga Aru (obviously very druggy)
And of course, that recent X-rated version of JKM that's only out as a bootleg (under the name JKM-TMI) :butbut:
