He says that it'll challenge him, so it can't be that he's stepping down as a songwritter/composer for MM. Also, it doesn't mention H!P, so if he would be stepping down, it'd affect H!P as well

Challenge for the girls... So it means more work, or something harder, never/barely done. An international tour promoting the group and phones?
Maybe it's focusing on international fandom. The girls being abroad for a long time could annoy hardcore wotas, so that could be the "fans may not like it" part.

Maybe, semi-permanent/permanent subunits? Like Sakuragumi, etc? That's a greater challenge for all of them, and may annoy fans...

But a nation-wide campaign promoting their own branded phones, with new songs and the like could fill all those criterias, less events/concerts/handshakes because of this.

Also, a joint promotion for those phones with another big idol group? (AKB or momoclo), that could piss some fans as well

Anyway, it's scary I just hope it's nothing like a grad, or Tsunku leaving songwriting.
