This post is in memory of my best friend who passed away in 2013.
Maybe his spirit led me to this anime? Even though he did sudoku puzzles daily,
he confessed to me before he passed that he never cared for jpop that I shared with
him online. LOl, oh well, I tried. In the big scheme of things I told him that it didn't make any difference.
What's odd is that I've known him since age 5, we lived on the same street, same schools,
even were in college together (same fraternity etc.) and I don't believe we ever had our picture
taken together. We had a wonderful childhood growing up together; he was one of those
rare life long friends; that's all that really matters.

Well, I’m so far out of the loop that I’m in outer space now. There are a lot of us out here.

Been riding the rails of the GALAXY EXPRESS 999. Finished 32 episodes, only 81 more to go.

Hope I’m back in time for the next H!PS.

Wow! The voice for Tetsuro Hoshino on the Galaxy Express 999. This lady's gotta be a cyborg.

Been stuck at episode 50 for two weeks. Some droid drugged me and when I woke up my ticket was gone.

Y'know, I think I was introduced to Galaxy Express 999 (in manga form, serialized in Animerica magazine) so early on that it somehow never occurred to me how strange as hell the concept of a train hurdling through space is. I might have to check out the anime now.

I don't even know how I got started watching this. This anime is from 1979. I remember pm-ing you last year after Japan Expo USA 2013 that I had some catching up to do. Once I started it there became some unanswered things that I want to find out I guess. I'm on episode 105 now, getting close to the end I believe.

DONE.
I finally completed Galaxy Express 999. Well worth the ride with a moral lesson each episode.
It had an ending that I did not expect. Got my questions answered.

Tetsuro. (I wanted to kick his ass a few times though.)
What a guy. He got about three or four marriage proposals along the way and he’s only
nine years old.

She can travel with me anytime; a real beautiful person (she can kick ass when she wants too).
Conductor.
What a body he had.
I have to say I am going to miss them all.
