Can you set the default non-logged in layout of the board to something less horrible than monotone gray?

Does everyone agree that the "News" and "News (Discussion)" threads are more-or-less useless right now? They haven't been posted in at all since coming back to the forum, at the very least...

Got tired of not being able to put Youtube videos in fullscreen mode, so I went ahead and fixed that.
