Nope. But I think Oricon has a limit on how many tracks there can be on a CD for it to be considered a "single", so that's probably why.

i dont understand how that works for 123, Kono Chikyuu vs AKB singles.

like how Kono Chikyuu was supposed to be a double a-side but isn't actually.

123 had max 5 tracks/CD. Kono chikyuu had max 4/CD.
This one has 6 tracks/CD.
I don't keep track of AKB but I think they're around 6 too?

Of course, this COULD have had another Regular edition with a b-track or something... but eh. Not really necessary. xD

Im confused.

For AKB they usually have about 7 unique songs and the instrumentals so thats 14. 6 tracks per CD. I think about 6 of these songs get PVs too.

Kono Chikyuu had 3 unique songs and the instrumentals so thats 6. 4 tracks per CD (except Grad Version). 2 songs got PVs.

this track limit is so confusing @_@

i mean im happy we get 3 PVs the only real loss is that other back girls might not get lines? Or maybe they will this time around?

It's per CD, regardless of its 363963729 Editions of that same single. If I buy an AKB CD, I'm not going to get more than 6 tracks. That is just 3 songs and 3 instrumentals.

Yeah, it's per CD. I don't think there's a limit for how many editions etc.

But the main a-side(s) has to be on every single edition. Hence why Kono chikyuu was originally billed as a double a-side until they realized Kono Chikyuu/Jishin Motte (aka the grad version) would count as an entirely separate release as the Kono Chikyuu/Issho ni... because it lacked Issho ni... which was at the time being billed as an a-side then dropped.

Now that you talk about it, I wonder why they didn't make the single a double A-side and have the Ai-chan song as a B-side for the graduation edition instead?

The first time I heard it I thought “Egao Kimi wa Taiyou sa” was not like the current Morning Musume at all!

Since the formation dance is not at all like I imagined I was wondering how it would go… (*≧ｍ≦)

Since there are more accents in this song I think it’s somewhat more like the current Morning Musume!
