I'm the type of person that reads the morning musume tag on tumblr and twitter.

people are throwing around stuff like "this will their momentum" and "this will kill all current promotion".

how does it though? this just created more buzz about the group to keep them in the spotlight. its such a big change that of course people will talk about it and become more aware of the new members and keep the group fresh and interesting. even if you're a casual fan you can be like "oh i wonder what this year's morning musume is like?", "i wonder what number the new morning musume is on". it'll keep them interesting.


its now up to management to maintain the group's hype by fulfilling the expectations of the fans by releasing good stuff.
