What was the most surprising thing?
Morning Musume hitting 100k, C-ute hitting 50k, and Sakura getting announced so quickly. I really wanted to do the whole fandom war again but Sakura was announced like WHOOSH

Sakura getting announced so quickly . Reina's band not being a part of H!P.

Out of the new members, who's your favourite?
Haruna!

Whose graduation are/were you most sad about?
Risa's. It really felt like the end of an era when she left.

Good line distribution for Morning Musume (We already get good line distribution for every other group), More good promo - UFP STICK WITH THE GOOD PROMO IT WILL PAY OFF, More good, solid singles.

Morning Musume hitting 100k, for the first time since Ai Araba.

What was the most disappointing thing?
S/mileage gradually losing steam.

Oda Sakura, only because no1curr about the K!eggs.

Whose graduation are/were you most sad about?
Who graduated in 2012? I don't even remember, so I am just going to go with Mano's impending grad. Just because I remember when she was first plucked out of the Gatas group to go solo, and she had so much promise and potential (Lucky Aura is still my jam) and then she just sort of withered to this crappy soloist with blah songs, but amazing PVs (that you were really only inclined to watch once, since the song was so blah).

Which releases of 2012 were your favourites?
123, Dot Bikini, Aitai Aitai Aitai na.

Which releases of 2012 were your least favourites?
Mano's.

Overall, which group had the best releases?
C-ute. They really stepped out this year. I wish UF was comfortable throwing all of their weight behind them.

Probably Berryz. Only loved one of their two releases this year, and only kind-of like the other.

What would you like to see more of in 2013?
New blood! And intricate dance routines. And good promotion. And Rinapuu becoming center.

What would you like to see less of in 2013?
Meimi.

What are your hopes for 2013?
That Kikka gets folded back into H!P as the main soloist and give her a competing soloist, and that they regain the momentum S/mileage had, and for C-ute to take off and be able to compete with MM.

What are your fears for 2013?
Any Berikyu graduations. Or too many new egg groups and then H!P resources get spread really thin.

Lack of year-end shows in general. MM. defz deserves it and with their singles sales C-ute arguably deserves it too.

No one's really. I do regret not becoming a fan of Mano sooner though.

C-ute: Kono Machi. Nowhere near the same level as the rest of C-ute's releases this year
Berryz: Asian Celebration. Golden Chinatown.
S/mileage: Tabidachi no Haru (i forget that it was a single. or that it was ever released)
J=J: Romance no Tochuu is nowhere near as good as Watashi ga Iu Mae or Samidare

Berryz... If Asian Celebration never got released it would've been S/mileage

What would you like to see more in 2014?
HQ music for all the groups. Not just primarily MM. and C-ute. More behind the scenes vids. Hello Station was a genius PR move by UF*. Actually, better PR by UF* in general. They've done a pretty good job this year.
More PonPon, I miss them. More Zukki.
I'm very satisfied with C-ute.
More Captain. I've warmed up to her this year.
Meimi. I can't wait for her to show everyone who's boss.

What would you like to see less of in 2014?
Hmmm... Asian Celebration. Golden Chinatown.
Momochi. I'm ready for her character to "evolve",

What are your hopes for 2014?
More Budokan. At this point I'm sure they could do a larger stadium for the Hello Cons at the very least. I'm not asking for massively huge venues, just bigger.

Sayu grad.

Nothing was really disappointing. Maybe I'll go with no Kenshuusei concerts being released on DVD.

-Kanazawa Tomoko.
-Another year of solid releases.

-Units not Juice=Juice. (Just kidding. Kind of.)

-MORE KENSHUUSEI UNITS.
-Everyone finally accepting Kanazawa Tomoko as their Juice=Juice oshi.
-Kaga Kaede and Hamaura Ayano to debut.
-More Juice=Juice amazingness. (They don't need to do anything except exist.)

-UF screws things up somehow.

What would you like to see less of in 2013?
Image changes. Risako is sticking to a look but idk about some of the other girls (Kanon and Miya). Long gaps of boring nothingness. Please keep us somehow entertained during those gaps between releases. I mean MM had their tour but it was dead quiet, but I feel their next single is going to be great.

What are your hopes for 2013?
KOUHAKU!!! Bigger concert venues and BETTER DVD COVERS. More PVs please. Juice=Juice finally graduating from Kenshuusei.

What are your fears for 2013?
Haruka doesn't ever get a push. A horrible new member is added to Morning Musume. Voice changes in MM. Graduations in MM. Promotion drops in the next single. Next single isn't promoted as much for MM. Oricon becomes strict on release events and charts.

None being chosen to be 12 Gen, and subsequently all made into the Kenshuusei (or having a test run for 6 months before becoming KSS).

Not making Kouhaku

Though technically not a graduation, Aina was the one that struck me the most...
