The dance for this song is spectacular too, which helps (THe chorus dance is just so fresh and poppy and amazing)

Actually Riho really does overshadow her. She may be amazing in Morning Musume, but Riho has this star quality to here where you don't even notice Ayumi or much of anyone else to be honest. I'm not sure what it is about Riho. I think it has something to do with her expression. Riho just has this expression that says "yes I am the Ace of this group."

Riho really does work hard though, and whether or not you like her singing her dancing is spot on.

Not that the other girls don't work hard though.

After this I would love Ayumi in a non-satoyama sub group where she is the Ace. She really shined here and I would love to see more of that.

TBH, I couldn't disagree with you more here, but different strokes for different folks, first off!

I find Riho as a dancer amazing, she has a lot of talent, but whenever I see a Morning Musume dance shot, it's Ayumi I am constantly transfixed on; for me, she has the most dancing talent of the two Dancing Aces in the group, but she is the one who lacks the vocal prowess that Riho has in certain songs. At first, she also looked a little awkward in solo shots, but she's started to really grab my attention with how beautiful she is now.

I am personally glad it was Ayumi chosen for the dance to take over Karin's position; She just seems to work it better and really bring attitude to the dance that I don't think any other member or Kenshuusei could bring. Ayumi is just fall of sass and pride, and you can see it, and I think the dance for this song needed it.
