It looks like the fans' speculation was mostly correct: John Hurt is the forgotten regeneration between the Eighth and Ninth Doctors, and he's the one who used "the Moment" to destroy Gallifrey and end the Time War.

Every time new (remake) "Oldboy" pictures are released, I get a little more disappointed.

After the first episode, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had been pretty mediocre. I was almost ready to give up on it.

Tonight was an improvement. Yay, November sweeps.

Next week is a Thor: The Dark World cross-over. I guess I'm going to the movies this weekend.

Me too but I'm way behind on my Marvel. Like years behind. X-Men is really my main interest though so I guess it's all right .

Nah, I mean, I can replay it on cable, and I will, it just hasn't made a strong enough impression yet for me watch it on the first run. There's something old-school UPN/WB'ish about it. Like ten years ago the Grant Ward role would've been played by some other buff brunet with an inability to act, Ivan Sergei maybe, and half the scenes would be taped in that alley adjacent to the nondescript office building that Mutant X used for everything.
