I just got
this in the mail. I already had the Eastern Armenian translation (which I got from the same store, Abril Books in Glendale, IIRC), but
Western Armenian is the language of my maternal ancestors.
It's hard to find books published in Western Armenian nowadays. Books published in the Republic of Armenia are generally in Eastern Armenian. Western Armenian was the language of
Turkish Armenia, which makes it the language of most of the Armenian diaspora, but most of its speakers are dying off, and the younger generations are learning the language less and less. I really need to get back to studying it myself.
