Considering it's selling more than pretty much ever other anime (except Naruto/One Piece/Detective Conan), I'm absolutely sure it'll get a second season. It probably won't be for another year (maybe 6 months at the least), though. But it'd be dumb if they didn't make more.

It's interesting how ABC is changing (or trying to change) the meaning of "live" TV to mean "at the original broadcast time, as opposed to watching it later on the Internet, On Demand, DVD, etc." It seems unlikely that a SFX-heavy show like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could be broadcast "live" in the traditional sense (i.e. broadcast as it's being performed), but in the ads for it they say:
Watch it live, all new, Tuesday at 8, 7 Central on ABC.

They want the social media buzz that happens only when everyone watches something at the same time. The fact that you can't skip commercials on "live" television is a bonus.

It's on Hulu, though, so that's where I'll be watching it. I have better things to do than wait for "appointment television".

That makes perfect sense. I just found it interesting from a linguistic standpoint, as an example of language change.

I've just freshly come away from the Fall/Autumn 2013 anime season charts, and things aren't looking great. I usually look forward to this season so the fact that fewer things interest me here compared to Summer (where this usually happens) is a huge disappointment.

That's tremendous. A strong parody. An accurate parody. A well-sung parody.
