Maybe I'm looking too much into what the juniors are saying, but you can't deny the overall negative tone and regardless of what went on between Sayumi and Koharu, I still don't think it's worth that much hostility.

Negativity? Yes between Sayumi and Koharu. From the current member to Koharu? Not at all, that was, just as I said, "legends about Koharu" that were brought up because they're surprising/exaggerated. Koharu is the one that got the most spotlight out of this, so on the contrary I'd even say it's positive.

But maybe it's just what teth said. It's just entertainment and I watch Japanese entertainment daily so I guess I wouldn't be as shocked or surprised by something as some who doesn't watch it as frequently. Compared to actual variety shows where people ARE getting into negative atmospheres and discussions, this is nothing. Sayumi and Koharu are just poking fun of what was a serious problem way back anyway.

Japanese TV shows always talk about embarrassing episodes to "make fun" of people anyway.
None of it (for the most part) are done to purposely diss someone.
It's entertainment. Besides, Koharu's been made fun of for YEARS anyway.

I'm aware of that but I dunno, it seemed different with Koharu. Maybe it's because the history that went on between her and the rest of MM that is well known, and how she was treated during her graduation concert. Maybe the TV show was trying to be normal like all other Japanese TV shows, but you can feel there is some serious dislike going on from Sayu's part, that makes everything look worse to me.

Anyways, Manpower updated version sounds great. After hearing all the previews now, they handled the album the way I expected them to. Not just updated with their singing but also change the tone of the songs to make them more suitable to the current Morning Musume. They did a pretty good job at that even though I'd like to hear the high quality versions before judging. This album along with C-ute's have been ordered a while ago. I'll hopefully receive them soon.

Sohee (reading your new reply), maybe that is also it. I have watched Japanese TV shows and am aware that it's normal of popular people to get made fun of. Maybe I didn't watch enough to understand that they can go very far and it's still considered normal.

About Riho, what you said is exactly what I heard. I thought I was wrong because I read the translation from randompasserby that said:

It sounds like I understood everything perfectly the way it was meant, even if I am not as good as you and don't understand everything 100%. That's why I'm very insecure about my Japanese because I made (and still do sometimes) lots of mistakes in the past.

Yeah that was an assumption on my part, sorry if that confused you. Given the subject could only come from someone with first hand experience dealing with Koharu and the fact that Riho did say she heard it from somewhere else I don't think I'm way off the mark there.
