I think some of them could be done better. Feels kinda half assed, if they went a little bit further this could be great.

Feels like a throw away mix album rather than a best of tho tbh. But I get that this would be good for the new fans.

RR21 > 123 > Love Machine > Help Me (Im guessing they kept it the same) > I wish > The Peace

Like I reckon if RR21 had less autotune and more quality to the instrumental it'd be great. I wish is good but not really into trance.

the intro is interesting. its a lot more rough and less fun that the original. the rapping is good, four for you Ayumi.

i honestly don't know how to feel about this album???? i like it, but i dont like it. im so confused. :S

edit: so i actually love this, you need headphones to appreciate it though. wanted more masaki tbh. but this is the best one so far.

The vocals are good, and the techno-kitchen-sink arrangement is interesting, but I got the feeling that whoever arranged and produced it forgot to ask, "Hey, what's my motivation supposed to be in this scene?"

Ahhh I really like it! This is what I expect of an updated version, it maintains the happy vibe but it's still updated. (: Love it!

Not feeling the new LOVE Machine at all. It lacks the fun that the original version had. I mean, it's not awful, but eh. Also I wanted Sayu to get Yuuko's lines so I'm slightly sad about that. I can live with this existing though.

On the other hand, the new The☆Peace! is fucking amazing. I still prefer the original (it's one of my fave MM。songs though), but I love this a whole lot. Then again I'm a sucker for Tsunku dubstep. It's so cheesy (hey, this song is about ordering pizza after all!) but IT WORKS. I'm pleased.

So for me it's like: The☆Peace > I WISH >>>>> LOVE Machine >>>>>> RR21. I'm not listening to One・Two・Three until we get a radio rip btw.

No seriously, I agree 100% with your entire post. LM isn't doing it for me. In general I feel that these remakes have had a kind of milquetoast quality, like, yeah, let me throw some loopz on top of this old song to make it sound modern, but I'm not gonna really get in there and transform it on a fundamental level. So the new stuff winds up being a kind of a noisy but thin veneer on the old melodies. Like "hip" Disney Channel cover versions. Well, "I Wish" sounds lovely because of the girls' voices and it does carry a different feel than the old song, but, even so, the end result is a bit sleepy.

But The Peace, that is what an update should be. It's more than just interjecting new beats on top of the existing melody, it's like a real rethinking of the song for this decade, and rivals the best H!P fan remixes that I've heard. It doesn't even feel like a remake. It just sounds like a well-crafted track.

Could anyone make out who was doing the speaking part at the very end of the radio rip of The Peace?
It is only alright for me, this album isn't giving me a great impression at the moment, I am just hoping some of these songs sound better when we have them in the proper CD quality..... (I just really want to like this album.... but I can't )
