That's a pretty awful song. In fact I like Berryz's new single better. Actually C-ute probably should have gotten Berryz's new single. Looks and vocal wise they may have been able to pull it off much better.
I like that it's a change from their very intense songs like (Aitai na, Kanashiki Ame, Adam & Eve) or their ballad type songs (Kono Machi & KimiChari). Without resorting to a very idol song like Sekai Ichi, I feel like this new-ish (at least for their singles) sound for C-ute could be very interesting and hopefully get #1.
When I heard the title I expected a more ballad-like song. I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised.
Anyone worried this will hurt momentum? It really moves away from what they have been doing and what they have been doing has gotten them 60k. I know it's set up for number 1, but I'm not sure this is the right song for it. I really don't like these types of songs. It sounds boring to me.

Meaning tons and tons of events, individual handshakes, added promo,... Seriously: the song itself is the least important factor when it comes to sales for idols.
As long as it's halfway decent (which this certainly is) and comes with a handshake ticket, it will sell.
Though I don't know If they did the same amount of promotion.
If the song isn't good they will just stagnate. Say they do the same sales wise for the next single because they are riding off the success of the previous... The sales will stay the same and eventually the sales will drop. I can't pretend to be happy that the song isn't as good as the previous. I don't think that the songs are the least important because in the long run it does make an impact.
