RR21 sounds like a garbled mess. I hope a lot of the distortion is just the quality of the radio rip and not actually a reflection of how the final track sounds.

I do not dig this. Maybe I'm just used to the original version, but this one sounds weird to me.

I like it. I don't think the fun was sucked out of it at all. It's just a different kind of fun. It still sounds smiley and happy, but with a techno beat in the background. It was pretty obvious the Techno was where they were going with this album, as that's what in vogue, so I wasn't expecting anything different. To me it sounds like a fun Lady Gaga song, VERY techno but still tongue in cheek. Just because it has a "Drop da bass" kind of sound in the background doesn't make it less fun, there are a lot of songs that do this and are still firmly considered "fun" (LMFAO being the biggest culprits)

You're focusing on the wrong word.

The chorus has a dynamic — follows a curve, so to speak — that doesn't work with a heavy techno sound. It was written for the lighter sound of disco; the original arrangement was not a fluke. Sure, if they broke up the chorus to make it more compatible with a heavy techno sound, it could be great. But that's not what they did. They simply laid the heavy techno sound over the existing chorus. That's what I meant by trying to listen to two different songs. Some of you may have no problem with that, but for the rest of us it is literally dissonant.

Song sounds good. A remix to breathe life into an old tune is never a bad thing. To me its not like the original can never be heard again, but I appreciate a new approach. Infact I like this one better.

It's a little bit too fast, but I like it. I like this song and I like hearing the girls sing it.

Also in my personal opinion it sounds even better with headphones.

I can't wait to hear all the other songs.

I do wish the covers were a bit more ...innovative.

The girls look beautiful but the covers seem a bit plain. The concert outfits for Chance would have looked wonderful for this album. They are so Renai Revolution esque.

I don't completely hate it, but I don't really want to listen to it again either. I guess I'm thankful I don't dislike it the way I did most of °C-ute's remake album?

This has grown on me.

If you listen closely the line distribution is pretty good, its just that the autotune kinda makes it hard to distinguish them.
Second verse has a lot of Haruna, Haruka and a bit of Zukki from what I can hear.

Don't like how Riho starts the song, just sounds rough to me.

At first it was a bit hard on the ears, mostly because I was so used to hearing the song one way and now it's mostly the same, but faster and with different flair, so my brain went "Wahhh", but after about 30 seconds in I started to really like it. It has all the parts I liked of the song originally. I don't think it has as much BAM POW as the original, but I enjoy remixes a lot, so by the end of the preview I'd say I like the original and new one about the same.

Reception for remakes is always pretty polarized though, whether it's music, comics or movies. Always lots of strong opinions all around.

I'm also really interested to see what they do with the others, and I'd actually be really surprised if everything didn't get some kind of dance update. If they new concert is going to be full of these songs and MM is pushing formation dancing so much at this moment...

I am so disappointed. Wtf is going on. Totally disappointed.
Before anyone makes any complaints about time, if they are going to promote this at their next concert tour they would have to learn a dance and it would've coincided but I'm just really disappointed. I know C-ute had that collaboration with that idol museum for the footage (If I recall correctly), but MM should be doing the same types of gimmicks and this is just so disappointing for me.
