Well a lot of the main AKB girls graduated right? I know they sold a million copies with the last single, but perhaps they may hit a downswing within the next year or two. Morning Musume doesn't have to surpass them (yet) But i think it would be cool if sales were close so that there was some healthy rivalry. Also I want Morning Musume to regain their title as #1 selling girl group, which AKB took over a few singles ago. I want to see the girls fight for it though!

If it becomes a thing it could be good publicity for both groups if you think about it.
