I don't think that Tsunku etc. can afford to go for too long without auditions -- it seems like the ground is moving very rapidly now under everybody's feet in the idol world.

13th gen auditions will probably be announced next year... fall or something, I think.

For what it's worth I'm personally of the opinion that
1) Sayumi will not graduate as soon as people like to think she will.
2) She will not be the next, barring any incidents.

Haruna, maybe. To move on to being a talent on tv shows. But I really have no idea, they could get all various kinds of personal reasons too.

I think it could be very possible Sayumi might just become the oldest MM-member ever. But we'll see. I wouldn't be surprised if she leaves soon-ish, but I definitely would not be surprised if she sticks around long enough to see off some younger ones.
