[8/28] Morning Musume。54th single - Wagamama Kinomama Ai no Joke / Ai no Gundan [#1 single, 144k]

I honestly like Gundan better. Gundan at least has catchiness to it where this doesn't. The chanting parts are fucking awful and do a lot of damage to the song. Hell, I'd rather hear this song without the vocals period. I heard a bit of the live version and higher expectations for this. This song should be badass and it's not. It's too bad cause I wanted this to be better.

As for the PV I'm not gonna throw a parade just cause they have two different outfits. It's a bit of a mess and there's a fair share of blankly staring at the camera in this. The best thing that was done was no one has a stupid hairstyle or crap makeup. These girls are pretty and more often than not less is better.

Love, love, love the black outfits and hair styles in Wagamama, but the other outfits are pretty blah, and the hair for those outfits is blah, and the close ups in front of the red drapes is blah. That PV needs a remix pronto. The Ai no Gundan PV on the other hand... perfection. The bits in the white dresses are gorgeous. The dancing outfits are superb. The close ups during the dance and on the set are terrific. The additional effects work perfectly with the PV. Gives me flashbacks to bits of Go Girl and Mikan, and I ain't complaining. I hope Ai no Dangan gets performed a couple times on shows, and I hope Wagamama gets one performance with the superior outfits.

EDIT: And Riho continues to be amazing in both of these. She's like Nacchi and Gomaki and Takahashi all in one.

I have to say i find Wagemama more catchy. Maachan's Aisuretai was total win.

I love the parts with the white outfits in Ai no Gundan. When I saw the sparkly effect, I thought "oh no", but they didn't overdo it this time, so that was good.
I like that Wagamama is filmed in an actual location, lol. The close-up parts are a little dull, but I like the rest of the video well enough to get past it. Definitely a concert song, but I still like it.

I find that the effects that they put on Ai no Gundan, along with the white dresses parts and all, give the PV a bit of a fairytale-ish feel? I don't know if that was what they were going for but it feels like it lol. The trees and the colors in general in Ai no Gundan are really... idk, fairytale for me for some reason.

I personally love Wagamama lol, and considering that one is the "main" a-side it seems, that one probably will be the one to be performed on shows. However, I'm pretty sure that they'll perform both at the Mezamashi live, which is nice considering that takes place a week before the release.

Either way, this is such a solid single it's ridiculous. Really curious about the covers for this one. *_*

Oh and I forgot to mention that Riho's face during the slapping part is pure win!

^ Her charisma really shows during that part! And I liked the video a lot, though the song is going to take some getting used to, I liked it better than Ai no Gundan already lol.

Finally, I feel like this is the most screentime Kanon has gotten in a PV in quite a while, I was loving it! They all look amazing.
