So.. figured I'll just post some impressions of the other blockbuster movies I've watched the last few months at once here

Fast 6
It was ok, action's not as fun as fast 5 but still around the same level. I actually enjoyed some of the banters and dialogues more than the action this time around.
Man of Steel
Flashbacks are annoying. I appreciated the action scenes, the unexplained total recovery of the destruction... not so much.
After Earth
Got dragged into this one because lol Will Smith. Feels like nothing much happened and I really don't think Smith's son is good enough to carry a movie. What's up with the character naming sense btw? Ranger Senshi? Kitai? Ouch...
RED 2
Irritating multiple location jumps, romance plot tumor and a potentially great antagonist is woefully underused. It's a shame since I enjoyed the first one.
Lone Ranger
The only scene worth seeing is the last chase scene while the first 2hours are kinda boring. Cutting to slapsticks while on the other hand showing a massacre is pretty
jarring.
Wolverine
I liked the Japanese setting and the cast. The title character is same old same old but the antagonists are pretty disappointing. Not to mention the most beautifully choreographed fight scene happened just right after wolvie gets his story breaker power(well, at least when it comes to fighting against normal humans) back so there's almost no tension. The final battle is such a letdown. Oh and unnecessary romance subplot is unnecessary. (bonus points for lol Sexy Otonajan and Tao Okamoto hngggh)

Living across the street from a cheap theater and plenty of time to kill on weekends has its advantages

^Did you watch Wolverine until the end? There were some extra teasers in the middle of the credits.
I like Fast 6 more than Fast 5. For me it has a better story. Fast 5 was just a roller coaster ride - it was fun, don't get me wrong :) And Fast 6 connects back to Tokyo Drift. Can't wait to see how it continues in Fast 7.

You got RED 2 already?! We haven't even seen the movie trailer yet over here

On cable, saw Ocean's 12, I know old movie but it was crazy fun  Julia pretending to be Julia XD

I love the title that Fast 5 had when it was released in Japan: Wild Speed Mega Max. XD
