You don't have to have the Kinect turned on. Just connected. Essentially it's part of the console. Like a webcam is part of every phone, tablet and laptop made in the past 5 years. There are plenty of things to criticize the Xbox One about, but the mere fact that it has a built-in camera is not IMO a problem.

That's not what I have heard.

Yeah from my understanding if it's plugged in, it's active. It's the extent of the activities that is the subject of much heated arguments, since even when you turned it off it's still in low power mode waiting for the"xbox-" commands :/

No more Game of Thrones until next spring. ;( Well, I'm only half way through the first book, so I can catch up with the books.

Spoiler: show
The last episode was okay. I really like the recent scenes of Arya and the Hound because a big part of each of them would probably have no issue killing the other off but in action they've become like family.

At this point Joffrey is getting irrelevant and the part where he was talking about serving Robb's head to Sansa at his wedding sounded like Joffrey trying too hard to be Joffrey. I like how everyone else at the table was not very amused and how Tywin just sent him away.

The ending scene with Dany was cool, but I'm getting bored with her story being mostly about gaining supporters so easily so I'm looking forward to something different after this.

"The Rains of Castamere" (the song) is still stuck in my head.

Nahhhhhhh it'll take off. Eventually. I think. (and usually predicting game console sales and such is the one and only thing i'm sorta good at, for some weird reason).

^^ Believe it or not, all of those plot lines are progressing as intended. That's the thing about GRRM's brand of realism: brutally logical cause and effect that defies the usual tropes of high fantasy, especially when events are seen in hindsight.

So this season finale might seem strangely unsatisfying now, but when you look back on it in a couple years, you won't be able to imagine it being any other way.

I do agree that the actor playing J was coming close to a parody of his character.
