It's time again for Flashback Friday!

(Sort of. Yeah, it's Saturday, but I was extremely distracted yesterday and forgot. And it's in the OPV thread instead of the usual YouTube thread, so… Why are you looking at me like that?)

As another graduation comes and goes…

This girl is Oomori Seiko, an independent singer-songwriter (as far as I know) that's also pretty famous for her Utattemita ("Tried to sing...") cover songs on youtube and nico2. She held an event in Hello Project Official shop in Akihabara during Golden Week last month at 5/6, covering H!P songs of course.

If Up Front would do a little more of this....that would be incredible. It still burns me how they got all of that social interaction with 321 Breakin Out and then just dropped the concept. Fans love being involved; why else is Senbatsu Erection such an event? Whatever minimal promotion costs there are, are more than made up for in cred.

Ah, but yes, I totally agree that they should offer more interaction with fans. And I get that in a way they do that with the handshake and high five events, but it sucks that international fans can't participate in those for the most part.

Elaborating a bit on that girl, Oomori Seiko had a mini live and talk session with Naka-G (the mangaka who often draws UUG and H!P for CD journal) in Tower Record to promote her own song 「Mahou ga Tsukaenai Nara Shinitai」from her new album a few months ago. She actually seems more prolific and popular than what I implied earlier

Btw look what she brought to the interview, maybe that's why she was invited to the H!P shop event?


Man it's always nice to see H!P/MM getting more recognition from other artists
