She certainly looks better in the middle. Not as visually distracting to see a giant just off to the side.

S'okay. That's about it. Not great, not bad, very much a middle ground sort of thing (in almost every aspect for me), I moved over to another tab about half way through the video as well. I suppose I should be thankful the choreographer didn't give them more awkward/weird hand movements to dance with this time.

Saki was nice.

I had to be profaine, i really do..but that was ONE shitty ass music video. UFP just doesn't give a shit on how they execute Berryz releases huh? The last time i remember them giving an actual damn was probably Cha Cha Sing

Personally, while some outfits and some hairstyles could be better, it's not UF I blame for this one. Yes, the variation of scenes wasn't that great but at least they had good angles. The girls themselves really looked bored like hell though. No enthusiasm at all. Which, is what ruined it a lot for me. I loved the angels in the music video, that was great. Too bad the girls didn't give a fuck.

Don't they have direction though? Do they just go in front of the camera and look forlorn or is someone directing them. I've often wondered about that.

idk. Both Reina and Sayumi have said that now that they've gotten up to 10 years + in showbiz and the company, they don't really get people correcting them anymore because of their seniority, I guess? And in all honesty it shouldn't be needed.

I don't know if the same goes for Berryz but I guess it would make sense. That they're expected to do their best the right way and they shouldn't have to be told how to do this or that. They probably follow directions amazingly well as far as technical direction goes (no blinking, do this, don't/do move with the music, etc) but when it comes to actual facial expressions and just... look engaged, I don't know if they are told to do it more/less. I wonder if the girls themselves realize that they come off this way tbh.

Well they didn't come off that way in Asian Celebration or Want so I imagine it was a directorial thing.

It's a direction thing. Chinami looked suicidal in Pink Pajamas, but joyful and happy in Be Genki. I remember the S/mileage girls saying they were told to look sad in Samui ne or something like that. And I don't get it! Chinatown is hardly a sad song. See, not even Momo is in full Momochi mode like she was even in singles like WANT!.

Yeah I figured they were perhaps trying to look sexy or something. Like I don't even know. Song is still my jam though.
