I don't get it... if these girls always play music for the band... how aren't they part of the band?

A lot of bands have regular session players or touring players who aren't technically part of the band. They don't take part in promotion. They can get fired or take a break without the public raising a stink. Doesn't AFAIK apply to anyone in UF but some bands actually own their name/image or collect recording royalties. That wouldn't be the case for a work-for-hire performer.

In this case, these women might be better off not being officially part of the band, since they don't have to worry about their personal lives being the subject of tabloid fodder.

Side note: I've been wondering whether the press and the public (wota and non-wota) will treat LoVendoЯ like an idol group, or more like a rock group. If it's the latter, then their private lives won't be that much of a big deal -- while nobody's 100% bulletproof when it comes to scandal and unfavorable publicity, rock groups have a whole lot more leeway.

Nope, definitely not just her

Never understood why some people thought now that she's graduating as an idol she have to drop every aspect of her personality that has been tempered by her many years as an idol and change completely at the drop of a coin anyway
Plus I enjoyed all her bands renditions of H!P songs and watching her on stage like her usual self among the subdued Marin, cool Neesan and Mature OkaMari makes a great contrast lol.

I'd still be following her either way probably but seeing her write this kind of thing just makes me love her even more

Whether this'll turn out to be a good idea or not we'll just have to wait and see but personally, I like where she's going with it for now.
Although she's technically not an idol anymore, I'm kinda happy that the years she spent being one is now also a part of her that she didn't just throw away the minute she walked out the door.

Yeah same, I just like Reina (especially since she always looks like she's having a lot of fun being in the group) and that's it, although their songs aren't bad so far. Obviously still gonna give them a chance and keep seeing what they have to offer. Their songs keep sounding like they lack something, like more emotion.

They definitely need some new/original material. So far, they're a good cover band, and very good at getting the umpteen-decades-ago style of the material that they're covering, but that's a pretty limited thing to do. I think it's time for some new songs written by members of the band (whether they're good at it or not, it's a good place to start).
