I forgot about Tokyo-Nights!! :x

Personally, I think anyone who goes "Pick me! I want to be mod!!" isn't the right choice. Mods shouldn't be that eager.

It seems like it, but it will. At the very worst, we're starting from scratch.
They probably only backed up till April...and whoever fixed it is probably satisifed by the fact that it's back online.

No he's not.
teth wrote:Who is really in contact with jpopcrew anyway?

Me.
That was over six years ago, though. I suspect that over time, admin and technical responsibility for the board has shifted other people, and they just kept the name jpopcrew.[/quote]
There's actually a funny history about this that never happened...with the exception for a few weeks in 2007, this has never happened. It's always been the same guy.
boinsie wrote:That's why the Morning Musume forum can't have a new active mod.

Not necessarily...but somewhat correct.

Though PureLight and/or Daisuki Daiiyo would be mods in a heartbeat if they were seriously interested. The only reason I never asked them, or Rikku for that matter, is because they actually have lives and would probably not want to deal with the B.S. that comes with being a mod. I'm surprised NATE and Cal went for it when I asked them...

This message is getting too long. Bye.

Aha -- so jpopcrew really is alive -- and presumably cussing and tearing his hair out while he tries to fix JPM.

Yeah basically...you can actually see in the announcement forum HERE where I mention the two different guys. Kevin was the guy who founded JPM, "hired" guys like me, MoMusuko, Lonely Driver, etc.. Ryan was the guy who came in last year - around April or so - who was supposed to be what I guess I am, the guy who does things openly while Kevin does the back end work. Problem was that Ryan pretty much flaked out and disappeared, so you guys never got your new mod (that I was never really comfortable with in the first place), our download forum was only visible to ME (lol) and the other global mods - hence me being purposely vague in the rules, and the site itself was never updated.

Quite frankly, I'm not huge on phpbb3 as is, though whether we can get the old posts from April to October back or start from scratch, the forum will be on phpbb3 hopefully by the end of the weekend. Once we see that everything is stable on phpbb3 and I tinker around with it, we might move the forums entirely to something that I've been lobbying for for quite a while (though I KNOW jpopcrew is a bit hesitant about it). This time things will actually be done, lol.

I'm still pretty hesitant about the MoMusu forum in general though, so I might as well put it out there: those of you that don't want to come back, don't come back. Stay where you are right now. Don't feel attached to that forum for any reason. People have been splintering off and creating new forums when something at JPM didn't go their way since 2002, so something tells me that the forum will find a way to survive. I'm not mentioning any names because I have no desire to put anyone on the spot, but I'm not having my moderators babysit people who choose to ignore rules that have been in place for more than a year now. So I'm putting it out there right now, even when the forum is back up and running and even moved to another software, it's your choice whether you want to post or not, but for the love of god - read the rules, follow the rules, and actually ask someone (read: ME) a question before crying on the main forum about how Patxi, moviebuff, or Nate, were being meanies to you.

Do you know what you were banned for, because I don't. I don't think that I've ever spoken to you before, so would you have contacted me even if you DID have a means to? Nothing drove you to ask Zunu, PureLight, Hamasaki_Kenshin, whomever you might be cordial with on the forum to ask why you might have been banned so that I COULD have found an answer? I can't do shit if no one tells me shit.

"not huge" on phpbb3 meaning you don't like it or you are not quite used to it yet? The new phpbb3 is an ok update but i'm not used to the avatars being on the opposite side. I'm more used to smf or vbullentin. Also, how come you guys never created a neater theme layout? Ever since I registered there, it's always been default, so is it by choice to keep it default or what exactly? I wouldn't mind the forums to look a bit nicer with some kind of graphic or colors but just a suggestion. :P

I might've been a bit angry about the jpopmusic forums messing up however there was errors happening weeks prior when I tried to post. I posted this error message once and even saw several other members post the same thing but I'm just disappointed that none of the moderators or staff seemed to inquire/care about these issues but only confirmed the forum errors. I was hoping to read these errors in a topic under "Announcements" but nothing was done or announced about them. Now, when something as serious as what is happening at the moment, the moderators are just barely posting about the issues. (Now, as for the posting error messages, i'm not sure if that relates to what is going on now but I'm assuming it is)

I apologize if I seem too demanding or impatient concerning the forum issues however I just wished there was more support available when needed. There is no "Suggestion" thread or anything for members to post issues they are having. The Mod team are doing great with the forums too, however not naming anyone in particular, some of them at times are a bit disrespectful to the members and make fun of them. (Yes, the members can say silly things or whatever, but they should respect all members or else I am wondering why they are Mods in the first place)

With moviebuff, he is a very intelligent Mod and knows what he is talking about. He is probably one of the best Mod's I seen in action at any forum since when he's consulting a member, he doesn't cross the line just put the member in their place.

So Daisuki, Light, and Rikku are the golden children? The Eva pilots of JPM-MM? Good to know... :emo:
