And it's actually a pretty reasonable 1500 yen.
If I had a decent Internet connection ( 640 kbps... don't laugh, 3rd world country...) I'd buy it without thinking it twice

Same here lol I can sympathize, what was supposedly 1.5 mbps connection here breaks down more often than not when I'm streaming live and it pisses me off to no end . The sales page hasn't opened yet (should be tomorrow) and I don't have any experience with ameba studio so I'm more concerned about the payment method and overseas availability than the pricing really...

Ameba doesn't accept foreign credit cards directly it seems ;__;
but you can get around it by using the web money option (buy the point card from cn-usa, it accepts most cards and paypals, thx kurikaesu_haru) to buy the ameba gold first then exchange it to ameba points needed to buy the live ticket.

Yeahh pretty much the same here... they're doing something right making it more accessible for us, gotta let them know it's appreciated.
Although with my internet, I doubt I'll be able to enjoy it much. I'll be lucky if I made it past the opening vtr
